The all-new Madone SLR not only has a strong side, it offers everything you’ve always wanted in a road bike. This was made possible by engineering excellence and a host of brand-new technologies, including the 700 Series OCLV Carbon-Layup for optimum aerodynamics, the adjustable IsoSpeed on the top tube, the new geometry and the new options for disc and rim brakes.
Only installed in the Madone SLR, the Kammtail Virtual Foil tube profile is one of the most aerodynamic profiles ever, both under real conditions and in the wind tunnel.
What’s impressive about IsoSpeed: The system not only absorbs shocks for efficient driving but also reduces tiring road vibrations so you can pedal longer and more powerfully.
The Madone SLR’s brand new Top Tube IsoSpeed offers a wide adjustment range to adjust the flexibility to your preferences. Compared to the current model, the Madone SLR is up to 17% stiffer at the softest setting and up to 21% stiffer at the stiffest setting.
In addition, the adjustable IsoSpeed on the top tube is damped to provide a smooth and controlled rebound movement that gives you more stability. Compared to the current model, the rebound force of the new Madone SLR is reduced by 13%.
Since the adjustable IsoSpeed on the top tube is horizontal and not limited by the seat tube length, another advantage of this system is the possibility of achieving similar values for vertical compliance across all frame sizes. So no matter what frame size you’re riding, you’ll always benefit from a wide range of compliance settings.
Ultra-light 700 Series OCLV Carbon
All Madone SLR models are made of Treks 700 Series OCLV Carbon – an incredibly light and stiff material that is aerodynamically optimized to the shape of the KVF tube profile (Kammtail Virtual Foil) to outwit the wind. The 700 Series OCLV is Trek’s lightest and strongest carbon.

Rim or disc brakes
For the first time ever, the ultimate road bike with flat mount disc brakes and direct mount rim brakes is available. Both brake technologies are fully integrated. Whether you prefer the lighter rim brake option or the disc brakes with the added freedom and braking power, you get top integration and top aerodynamic performance.
Optimum fit and geometry
The geometry of the Madone SLR was developed together with the professional teams Trek-Segafredo and Trek-Drops. It is a new geometry for Trek that puts the rider in an aerodynamically optimal racing position. It is a little more aggressive than the geometry of previous Madone generations and represents the optimal middle way between comfort and speed for most riders.
New two-piece, aerodynamic handlebar/stem combination
Also new on the Madone SLR: the two-piece, aerodynamic handlebar/stem combination. It offers more options for stem and handlebar sizes and handlebar adjustment without compromising on the fully integrated Aero cockpit.
