With the Mission CX, Merida replaces its outdated Cyclo Cross platform and attacks the competition with an all-round concept. No matter if cyclocrosser, graveller or commuter – the Mission CX should be able to do everything. And it should also be really light and sporty. The carbon frame weighs in at an impressive 885 grams and offers a dynamic, forward-looking seating position. What the commuters should be happy about are the mounting options for mudguards, which can be found on the fork and a bridge between the seat stays. The highlight: This bridge can be removed for racing so that the Mission CX offers even more flexibility and better drive behavior (in addition to the slightly optimized weight, of course). Of course, all trains have been laid in the frame, 140mm disc brakes front and rear provide the best braking performance regardless of wind and weather. The top model Mission CX 8000-E with electronic Ultegra Di2 gearshift brings it to a total weight of 7.9 kilos for $5,299. The green-blue CX 8000, on the other hand, relies on the SRAM Force 1x circuit.
